Stop, it's hammer time! If you're a fan of the Whack-A-Mole games you find in arcades and fairgrounds then try out this seasonal iPhone version of the game. The object of Whac-A-Mole: Whacky Xmas, as the name suggests, is to smack all the yuletide moles that pop out of their holes before the time runs out. In order to get rid of the critters for good you need to plug all the five holes with snowballs. You do this by succeeding in the mini games that are activated when you hit a small snowball. The mini games in Whac-A-Mole: Whacky Xmas appear in the LED display at the back of the Whack-A-Mole station. They involve things like stopping a moving arrow in the center of a gage or helping Santa dodge oncoming traffic in his sleigh. These mini games, and the power-ups available in the main game help to liven up what is otherwise a very monotonous game. Unfortunately, the mini games are also very repetitive and there's not many different ones. Whac-A-Mole: Whacky Xmas is also pretty easy, so it doesn't have much lasting appeal. That said, this is fun for a few minutes and boasts some fun Christmassy graphics.
